Saving Money

We have all been there – you want to go on holiday or buy those shoes, but we just don’t have enough money saved. Fear not, we are here to help.

Here are few easy to tips to start saving:

Set up the correct bank accounts. Before you start anything, make sure you have a current account (for your spending) and a savings account (for your savings). This will help you not spend any money that you're meant to be saving.

Figure out where you’re at. Sit down and write down everything – your expenses, income, debt, savings you name it. This will help you figure where you need to improve, change or grow, when it comes to your money.

Make a budget. I know this sounds painful but won’t take as long as you think. Make a weekly budget, fortnightly, monthly, whatever suits you. Just make sure that you are not spending more than you are earning. There are plenty of apps that can help you do this, even a simple spreadsheet will do.

Check you budget. Make sure you are staying on track and not overspending..

Set goals. Create financial goals for yourself. Maybe you want to save for a holiday or a car. Whatever it is, goals will help motivate you to save (and not order in food every night).

Cut back on silly expenses. Speaking of ordering in food, if you want to save more money, see if there is anything that you can easily do without, or maybe replace with a cheap alternative.

Shop around before you spend big. If you are finally going to buy that plane ticket to Paris, don’t buy it with the first airline at comes up – compare a few airlines to see if you get the ticket for cheaper.

Goodluck.

Change your perspective and uncover a way forward for you!

Here are some things that can help you with that.
